Welcome to
Our School
Feniscowles Primary School is a thriving school with a strong reputation. It has been my privilege to be headteacher since September 2020.
All schools have their own distinctive culture and ethos, which makes each one unique. We believe that our distinctive culture is rooted in a shared understanding of 'The Feniscowles Way'.

Our EYFS children had a wonderful afternoon celebrating the end of an amazing year at their EYFS Graduation Ceremony! Each child proudly received a special certificate before enjoying a fun-filled afternoon of outdoor activities with their families and friends. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved this year. They have grown in confidence, developed new skills, and created many happy memories along the way. We have no doubt that they will continue to flourish as they begin their exciting journey into Year 1. Congratulations to all of our wonderful graduates – we can't wait to see all that you achieve next!
The sun was shining, the music was playing, and the children had an absolute blast at our end-of-term party! From bouncing away on the bouncy castle to enjoying all the exciting activities, there were smiles, laughter, and happy memories everywhere. The children really embraced the summer vibes, completing their party look with colourful sun visors, funky sunglasses, and plenty of whistles! As another amazing year comes to an end, the Pit Stop team would like to say a huge thank you to all our families for your continued support throughout the year. It has been a privilege to watch the children grow, learn, laugh, and make so many wonderful memories together. We hope you all have a safe, happy, and relaxing summer holiday. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back for another fun-filled academic year in September. Have a fantastic summer!
We are incredibly proud of our Feniscowles Primary School netball team, who finished in the top 14 out of 600 schools across Lancashire! The team represented our school with integrity and endeavour, showing fantastic resilience, teamwork, and determination throughout the day. Despite some challenging games, they secured 2 wins from 5 matches and never gave up. Their commitment, attitude, and sportsmanship were outstanding. Well done, team – you are a credit to our school!
What a fantastic day our EYFS children had on their trip to Lytham St Anne's Beach! The excitement started as soon as we climbed aboard the double decker bus! At the beach, the children had so much fun playing games on the sand, exploring, laughing, and making wonderful memories together. We enjoyed a lovely picnic followed by a well deserved ice cream, making the day even more special. Days like these are all about learning through new experiences, building friendships, and creating amazing memories that will last a lifetime. We are so proud of all our children for their fantastic behaviour and enthusiasm throughout the day. A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make this such a memorable trip!
Our year 5 and 6 children took part in a special event today! Chris Lubbe came to speak to us all about his life and his work. His message is about being the change you want to see in the world and how even small actions can have big consequences. Chris spoke about growing up under apartheid and how we can all make conscious decisions to become the best version of ourselves. He also entertained us with tales of meeting The Queen, Beyoncé and even Michael Jackson! Thanks to @iamchrislubbe for a brilliant morning!
Infants Sports Day Well done to Moon who were the overall winners! Thank you to all the parents/carers who came to support the children. We appreciate it just as much as the children do
Colour Run Fun! A huge thank you to everyone who took part; set up; donated; made balloon arches... for today but the biggest thanks of all goes to.... OUR CLEANING TEAM
We were delighted to welcome our new Reception children and their families for our recent Stay and Play sessions as part of their induction to school. It was lovely to meet everyone and see the children exploring, playing and beginning to feel familiar with their new surroundings. We have enjoyed getting to know them and are excited to continue building those relationships over the coming months. We can't wait to welcome the children to school in September and begin this exciting journey together! Here are a few snapshots of our time together so far.
What an incredible achievement for our girls' netball team! On Tuesday, our talented team competed in the finals, taking on five strong teams throughout the day. The girls were outstanding, remaining undefeated in all of their matches. Their fantastic performance meant they finished 1st overall and have now secured their place in the Lancashire Final, where they will proudly represent Blackburn with Darwen. We are immensely proud of every player for their determination, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. They are a credit to Feniscowles and have demonstrated what can be achieved through hard work and commitment. Congratulations, you have been absolutely amazing! We wish you the very best of luck in the Lancashire Final. Go and smash it, girls!
