Feniscowles Primary School is a thriving school with a strong reputation. It has been my privilege to be headteacher since September 2020.
All schools have their own distinctive culture and ethos, which makes each one unique. We believe that our distinctive culture is rooted in a shared understanding of 'The Feniscowles Way'.

Year 1 have truly spread their creative wings! As part of their Making Birds art project, our talented young artists observed birds closely, capturing every detail in their drawings before transforming their ideas into stunning 3D sculptures. The results? Absolutely fabulous! Amazing work, Year 1 - your creativity has taken flight!
We really enjoyed hosting The Olive School today for our final debate match of the Season! It was esepcailly nice to be in our brand new building too! Both teams debated brilliantly and the "points of information" were especially strong. We won one and lost one of the matches! A HUGE thank-you to this years' team (and their grown-ups at home) for all of the hard work and preparation! It has been beautiful watching the children grown from strength-to-strength this year! I'm busting with pride at what they have achieved and we're excited for next year too!
Wow! Our amazing Made for Stage group absolutely blew the roof off at the SIG 2 Music Event yesterday! Their energy, talent and hard work shone through every second of their performance. We're proud of each and every one of them! A huge thank you to Simon @madeforstageuk for his incredible dedication and the countless hours he's poured into helping our children shine!
Such a beautiful morning welcoming our new Early Years starters for September! It was wonderful to see them enjoying their first stay and play session alongside their grown ups! We can't wait to get to know each of them even more! #EarlyYears #StayAndPlay
This week, Year 2 visited a temple and a church to compare places of worship. The children blew us away with their incredible knowledge and were able to apply what they have learnt in our RE lessons. They demonstrated our school values of safety and respect at all times too
Two Terms of Talent – And We're Just Getting Started! Over the past two terms, our partnership with Made for Stage UK has flourished and the impact on our children has been nothing short of phenomenal. Every junior child at Feniscowles Primary has enjoyed dedicated curriculum time with the Made for Stage team, taking part in high-energy, high-quality musical theatre sessions that have boosted confidence, teamwork and creativity across the board. But the story doesn't end at the school gates... We are incredibly proud to announce that 44 of our pupils have now signed up to continue their performing arts journey out of school, joining Made for Stage's fantastic out-of-hours programme from September! From expressive movement to show-stopping numbers, this blossoming relationship has inspired children to raise their voices, step into the spotlight, and discover a love of theatre that's here to stay. Our amazing Year 3 have created sculptures using paper, tape and Modroc. It was a little messy creating these fabulous animals. We then painted them using acrylic paints. A fabulous day of learning (albeit, a little messy.)
