We are very proud of our Out of Hours Learning at Feniscowles Primary School. Our aim is to provide a broad and balanced extra-curricular programme for all of our pupils. We try to provide as many of these opportunities free of charge. However, some specialists come into school to plug gaps in our provision and offer clubs beyond the expertise of our very capable staff. Some of our Out of Hours Learning partners include:
LEGO STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Club.
Our Y6 FIRST LEGO team have been working tirelessly on their project as well as designing and programming their robot.
They have decided to complete a project looking into the hydroponics, focusing particularly on Aquaponics. We are going to be working alongside Urban Farm who was founded by bio-scientists from Liverpool University to reduce water and energy consumption to produce food, on a small scale to begin with. As you can imagine, this isn't a cheap project so the team have organised a fundraiser in school to partly cover costs. They are currently planning a hot chocolate sale for our KS2 pupils to partly fund their project work.
