Sports Day

We  plan to hold our Sports Days next week. Hopefully we will have some dry weather this weekend to give the Infant field a chance to dry out.

Monday                17th June          Infant Sports Day

Tuesday               18th June          Lower Junior (Year 3 & 4) Sports Day

Wednesday             19th June              Upper Junior (Year 5 & 6) Sports Day

Monday                   24th June             Reserve Infant Sports Day                                                  1

Tuesday                  25th June             Reserve Lower Junior Sports Day

Wednesday            26th June              Reserve Upper Junior Sports Day

Sports Day will be on the Infant field, for all Year Groups,  beginning at 1.30 p.m.  As we all know, we can never guarantee that the weather will be fine so there is a reserve date in case they have to be postponed. The field will be inspected at 12 noon and then a decision will be put on the web site and a text will be sent. Please do not ring before this time as staff will not be able to give you any information and if possible check the web site to avoid jamming the phones. All spectators are welcome.

In order to help keep your child safe please could we ask parents to adhere to the following guidelines:-

  • Children are under the jurisdiction of the teachers therefore should not be taken by parents to the toilets etc.;

  • All school premises including the grounds are no smoking zones.

  • Please do not give your child anything to eat or drink during the sports as this is unfair on the other children.

  • Please make sure your child has a sun hat and water bottle in school and where necessary have sun tan lotion on.

  • If possible could children in the juniors please wear a top in their house colours, we have a limited number of coloured tabards but not enough for all the children. Children in the infants will wear their normal P.E. kit.

  • For Safeguarding reasons the use of cameras or mobile phones to take pictures or videos is NOT allowed.

Water Bottles

In the past the PTA have provided each child with a drink, a bottle of water. This year in an effort to cut down on plastic waste we are encouraging the children to use their re-usable water bottle they already have in school.The PTA WILL NOT be providing a drink.  Please ensure that your child has a named re-usable bottle in school, on Sports Day.The staff will ensure that the children have an opportunity to fill their bottle.
